To Our Customers and Partners,

The following is an update from Higher Information Group (HIG) regarding the COVID-19 restrictions that have been implemented across the Nation and Pennsylvania and the business impacts resulting from these restrictions.

Governor Wolf ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to close their physical locations as of 8 p.m. March 19, to slow the spread of COVID-19. Enforcement actions against businesses that did not close physical locations began Monday, March 23, at 8:00 AM.

Fortunately, HIG meets Pennsylvania’s Industry Operations Guidance definition in the Governor’s Order. We are authorized to continue to be open for business to provide goods and services to our business customers who provide life-sustaining goods and services to their customers. Customers that meet this requirement are our immediate priority, however we will continue to provide support to all our customers with closed physical facilities that have employees working remotely.

From our previous communication, most of our staff are now working remotely. We have tightly secured our corporate office and distribution operations, mail and print production house, and our document storage facilities.  We have limited our on-site staff to those essential to maintain critical functions. In all physical operations, we are following social distancing and COVID-19 mitigation guidance provided by the PA Department of Health and CDC to protect our on-site staff.

We have not seen any significant changes in our supply chain from our vendor partners to HIG, and ultimately to our customers and end-users.  Given some of the dynamics we are seeing for service and support requests from our customers, we ask that customers be responsive to our staff if they ask for more information than they typically do. For any direct hard goods pick up and deliveries by our staff, we will ask for confirmation that someone will be physically present and that proper precautions have been met. We are limiting customer pick up at all our locations to protect the health of our staff.

It is our intention to do everything we can to help our customers and partners conduct critical business as we work through the coming weeks together. Whether it is shipping toner, a printer or a laptop; providing business equipment repair service or IT remote support; renewing a service contract, providing a hardware or software quote, delivering license keys or providing installation services; or document shred or storage pick-up and delivery…we are here to serve you.
