Expanding Our Market to Wilkes-Barre, Hazelton, and Scranton
New acquisition expands business service offerings for Four Star & Business Office Systems clients
Harrisburg, PA: Higher Information Group, LLC (HIG) is excited to announce the acquisition of Four-Star Business Systems, Inc. also doing business as Business Office Systems, Inc. (BOS) on July 1, 2019. The move allows HIG to expand their reach in Northeastern Pennsylvania while increasing the business services available to BOS clients. HIG will occupy the BOS office location at 33 S. Wilkes Barre Blvd. in the Market Street Business Center along with Gold Star Digital Document Services.
“The acquisition of Business Office Systems provides HIG the opportunity to expand our market presence in Wilkes-Barre, Hazelton, and Scranton. By retaining their business equipment service organization, we can assure BOS customers of no interruption in support throughout the transition. Jeff Thomas has joined the HIG sales team and we are excited to have him represent our products and services to BOS customers. Jeff has done an excellent job building a trusting relationship with his customers over the past 14 years as the owner of Four Star and BOS. We are deeply committed to the customers that Jeff has developed over those years and are excited to offer them HIG’s expanded business products and services. Jeff is also the owner of Gold Star Digital Document Services in Wilkes-Barre which provides retail shipping and printing solutions. Jeff is a well-respected business leader in the Wilkes-Barre community,” explained John Frisch, President of Higher Information Group.
Expressing enthusiasm over the acquisition, Jeff Thomas stated: “Last year, I began searching for a buyer whose values lined up best with our own. There were many interested parties, but HIG distinguished themselves from the other suitors in that they were keenly interested in my people, their skill sets, and their career paths. HIG has a wealth of infrastructure and business processes that will virtually assure our continued success in the Eastern PA marketplace. John Frisch, the founder and President of HIG, is a forward-thinking, highly successful entrepreneur with a thorough understanding of the requirements for success in this new business landscape. I’m excited about joining their team in my new role, and I look forward to enjoying a continued business relationship with Frisch and the entire HIG organization.”
Jeff Thomas is joining HIG as the Territory Account Executive for the region. BOS Field Service Technicians will continue to service and support BOS business equipment under the HIG brand. BOS customers will now have access to HIG’s line of Toshiba and Cannon business equipment, Document Storage and Shredding Services, IT Services, and Telephony and Security Solutions. In addition, HIG will offer its Web, Creative, and Digital Marketing portfolio to BOS customers.
